Tweaked, poked, and polished, the second book in my mystery series now rests in the hands of an editor. She will evaluate the plot and characters, offering insight into the book’s overall readability. If any loose ends, plot holes, or other issues arise, she’ll point them out. Her suggestions aim to ensure that readers will love delving into the story of former white-water guide Ash, who finds herself in a heap of deadly trouble.
Once the editor returns her comments, I’ll rework the book and seek the input of beta readers for final thoughts before its release.
Book 1: The River Answered
The River Answered is a mystery aimed at adult readers who love fast-paced, suspenseful plots with strong, relatable, yet flawed characters. In it, former white-water guide Ash is forced to confront her fears and unravel a dangerous mystery to save a runaway and prove her grandmother’s death was no accident. Set in the deceptively sleepy Susquehanna Valley in Upstate New York, this novel’s twist will surprise, intrigue and, ultimately, satisfy readers.
Book 2: A Crack in Everything
In A Crack in Everything Ash’s life-altering decisions will carry readers from the comfort of a Brooklyn Heights flat to the potentially deadly cliffs and bogs of the Adirondack mountains. As Ash fights for survival, this mystery unveils deadly secrets, unexpected allies, and formidable enemies.
I’m currently immersed in marketing this series and hope it will be on bookshelves soon!
